What is it?This "JISC TechDis User Preferences Toolbar" has been designed to provide students and teachers with a simple way of imposing their accessibility preferences onto potentially any web page. A section of high contrast and pale colour schemes have been provided along with a choice of serif and non-serif font. The toolbar also offer a handy zoom function that magnifies the page. The colour and font changes do not persist from page to page but it does provide the user with a greater sense of control as they can choose when (and when not) to use their preferred presentation. How do I access it?The TechDis Toolbar needs to be downloaded and installed. It runs best on Internet Explorer, there are currently problems with Firefox so you perhaps avoid using it with Firefox for the time being.
